As a professional consultant, instructor and social justice activist, I have a broad array of skills and a tremendous enthusiasm for all aspects of historical work. My areas of expertise include:

In addition to the positions listed below, I have more than 20 years of experience as a fundraising professional. I’ve worked for large, national organizations and local groups, serving them through direct mail, online, event and grant writing development work.
- Instructor, Portland State University, University Studies Department. Responsible for teaching a 6-credit Capstone course focusing on voting rights, people of color history in Oregon, political activism and fundraising. Fall 2012 to present
- Editorial assistant, Portland State University, Department of History. Responsible for writing entries, editing and fact-checking for the Encyclopedia of United States Indian Policy and Law (2008). Responsible for researching topics related to criminal justice. 2006-2009
- Research assistant, Portland State University, Department of History. Assisted with graduate level classes and conducted research, including on Native American, local people of color communities, and Constitutional history. 2005 – 2006
- Rose Tucker Fellow, Oregon Historical Society. Researched issues in public and local history and supported the Society’s affiliate program. 2003 – 2004
